Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Economics at Manarat International University, with over a decade of teaching and research experience. He earned his BSS and MSS degrees in Economics from the University of Dhaka, where his rigorous academic training covered a wide array of subjects, including Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Theory, Development Economics, Sociology, Business, International Trade and Finance, Quantitative Analytical Tools, Public Economics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, Industrial Economics, and Population Economics. This diverse foundation fostered his keen research interest in Economics, Finance, and Development. Dr. Rahman further advanced his academic career by obtaining a PhD in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His doctoral research, titled "Alignment of the Banking Sector Towards a Sustainable Economy: The Case of Bangladesh," proposed a comprehensive impact optimization model to align sustainable banking efforts with global sustainability objectives, such as the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the beginning of his professional journey, Dr. Rahman gained invaluable experience working with two research organizations. He later joined the Social Development Foundation (SDF), a development organization operated under the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh, and funded by the World Bank, where he contributed to monitoring, evaluation, and socio-economic project design. Throughout his tenure at Manarat International University, Dr. Rahman has taught a wide range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics, Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking, Mathematics for Business, Business Statistics, Legal and Ethical Values in Business, and Bangladesh Studies. His commitment to academic excellence is further reflected in his role as a supervisor for numerous student projects and internship reports. In addition to his teaching career, Dr. Rahman has made notable contributions to academia through his research, with Ten of his articles published in respected local and international journals. His academic and professional journey underscores his dedication to advancing knowledge in Economics, Finance, and Development while mentoring the next generation of scholars and professionals.
