Mohammad Mizanur Rahman is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Manarat International University. He obtained his BSS and MSS degrees from the Department of Economics at University of Dhaka. His substantive training through Undergraduate and Masters level courses including Micro and Macroeconomic Theory, Development, Sociology, Business, International Trade and Finance, Quantitative Analytical Tools, Public Economics and Market Role, Labor, Health Industrial and Population Economics has helped him to develop a strong foundation and acute research interest in the areas of Economics, Finance and Development. Currently he is doing his PhD in Economics at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia. The topic of his PhD study is “Sustainable Banking in the context of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The Case of Bangladesh”. In the beginning of his professional career, He worked in two research organizations. Then he worked in the Social Development Foundation (SDF), a development organization operated by The Finance Ministry of Bangladesh and funded by The World Bank. During his teaching career at the Business Department of Manarat International University (MIU), Mr. Mizan has attained a decade-long extensive experience in teaching of different BBA and MBA level courses like Microeconomics, Macroeconomic, Managerial Economics, Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking, Mathematics for Business, Business Statistics and Legal and Ethical Values in Business and Bangladesh Studies. Last but not least, five research articles written by Mr. Mizan have already been published in different local and international academic journals.
